SARMs VS Anabolic Steroids – Learn The Difference

The use of supplements is hardly a big revelation in the realm of bodybuilding. People all over the world are looking to enhance their performance and gain great results quickly and efficiently. And sometimes, they just need a little boost.

Sure, ultimately, everything depends on your will to step up and do some hard work. If you have a skilled professional to train you and help you along the way, then you are also at a great advantage. Still, sometimes you simply cannot achieve the desired effects, no matter how much work you put into it.

Best Boosts Out There

That is why athletes are resorting to the use of supplements to help them get what they need in order to sculpt their bodies and generally have more strength. Additionally, some of them struggle with reducing body fat and use certain products to help them. This is especially correct when it comes to belly fat.

By now, I bet that you cannot find a person in the world that is yet not familiar with anabolic steroid drugs! Not everybody knows precisely how they work and what they do to the body, though. There are a lot of users who praise these products after having used them for quite some time. And then, there are those who criticize people for using them, claiming that they might have some serious health consequences.

But, it gets even more complicated than that. These are not the only performance-enhancing drugs on the market that cause some debates. Today, there are also selective androgen receptor modulator drugs, known as SARMs. Oh boy, has that got the world on edge. Apart from those criticizing individuals, there are now those who don’t know which of these two products would be better for them to use.

Do you know where the whole confusion comes from? Well, somebody has found it convenient to exclaim that these two were one and the same. And you know how it goes when word gets out. No matter how untrue it can be, the myth is difficult to stop.

Well, I will try and stop it no matter what. These two have some similar properties and I am not going to deny that. But, they are essentially different. And before deciding on the option you prefer, you should learn about those differences. So, let’s get started.

Selective androgen receptor modulator drugs affect some androgens in your organism. Notice the word “some”. This means that, while they target some androgens, they do not interfere with the work of your other internal organs. This is why they are called selective.

Learn more about these drugs:

They have become rather popular in the bodybuilding world. This is because they have shown to have certain benefits in the workout process. Their use leads to increased performance and endurance, enhanced muscle growth and strengthened bones. Given that fact, it’s no wonder that they are becoming more and more popular day after day.

Now, this drug is still being researched thoroughly. Yet, so far, no significant side effects of SARMs have been discovered. The lack of side effects has to be attributed to the fact that they don’t cause the suppression of testosterone in the body.

In addition to that, there is another important factor that makes these drugs safe. As I have already mentioned, they are selective. Due to that, they don’t cause any troubles in your organs, such as liver. These are designed to specifically and solely impact your bones and muscles.

Anabolic Steroids

Anabolic steroids are synthetically produced steroid hormones resembling testosterone in one way. How? Well, they affect muscle growth. They started out as products used for medical purposes. But, today, they are widely used in a variety of sports, due to their powerful effects. Find out more.

When people hear the term “steroids”, they immediately form some negative connotations in their brains. Because of that, these products have been widely condemned in certain communities. Still, those condemnations sometimes come from ignorance.

It’s no secret that you should be careful with anabolic steroids. Using wrong doses may very well result in some unwanted side effects. But, in essence, these drugs are simply a man-made version of the hormones we already have in our body.

They work by binding to androgen receptor, but not in the same way as SARMs. Therein lies the difference between these two. Do you remember what I said the most important feature of the selective androgen receptor modulator was? Their targeting properties.

Anabolic steroids, on the other hand, do not have these properties. They are not able to select specific receptors and bind only to those they choose. Instead, this synthetic supplement can affect your whole body. As a result, you might experience some side effects, such as the development of acne, a cholesterol increase and some more.

Which Is Better?

Naturally, the effects of anabolic steroids on your muscles might be a bit more powerful than the effects of SARMs. And yet, they might come with some unwanted aftermaths. We might say that they are faster and more efficient at a certain cost.

So, given everything, it seems that one is not simply better than the other. Although SARMs appear to be the safer option, that doesn’t mean that steroids aren’t safe at all. It is up to you to take everything into consideration and decide what you need.
